Troubleshooting Tips for Using This Resource
Having trouble with the interactive pieces or editable text boxes? Here are answers to the most common questions to help you get started quickly and smoothly!
Q: How do I open the resource?
- After purchase, download and unzip the file. If it says the file is too long, relabel the zip folder DAILY SLIDES.
- Open the file in PowerPoint for editing.
- To access the Google Slides version, open the Info PDF included in your download. It contains the clickable “Make a Copy” link you’ll need to get your own editable copy. Many teachers miss this and try to open it from the PowerPoint file.
Q: How do I use it in PowerPoint or Google Slides?
- Use PowerPoint for the best performance. Be sure to open the file in Edit mode, not Slideshow mode, so you can click and drag icons and type in the editable text boxes. Works great with interactive whiteboards and Smart Boards too!
- In Google Slides, open the file in Editing mode (not Present mode) to customize and use the interactive pieces.
Q: What if the Google Slides link won’t load?
- Double-check that you’re logged into a Google account
- Try a personal account if your school blocks outside files
- Use Google Chrome (not incognito mode)
- Copy/paste the full URL from the Info PDF into your browser
- Allow TpT access to Google Drive when prompted
